I met a man
It’s incredible the people you meet every day, but let me introduce you to some people I met throughout the week.
I met a man
… who, in seven years, climbed six of the highest mountain peaks on six continents and is in the process of writing a book. His wife had passed away, and each new mountain height had him feeling closer to Heaven and the love he had lost. It also improved his health, fitness, and vitality, allowing for an incredible, adventurous life. He now builds. He restores. He teaches. He shares. His life has purpose and meaning.
I met a man
… who was hungry. Really hungry. He hadn’t eaten for 21 days. He had decided, as a follower of Jesus and a husband and father of two precious children, that he wanted to be led and guided by the Holy Spirit to be his best in all areas of his life — to separate from the things of this world for a time. I sat with him and others and read the book of Revelation, and then we shared what we had heard and how it had impacted us.
I met a man
… who loved with a love that could only come from one source. A man who, when he walked into the room, somehow greeted everyone through a gentle touch, a smile, a greeting, or a hug. I felt the atmosphere change. He spoke boldly about the Gospel and was not ashamed to speak about Jesus. He spent his days with us and his nights on the streets, talking to those on the highways and byways of life. He left to do the same in another town, city, or nation.
So, in a week, I met perseverance, spiritual hunger, and unconditional love.
It was just seven days. What happened in your seven days? I’d love to hear from you.
In the beginning, God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh. What are you going to do?
Our life is precious. Let’s make it count.
