Hearts and hands open
I’ve been deliberate lately in starting my morning prayer times with open hands. It’s been a twofold reminder that I can’t hold anything tightly, and that the little I have to give, I want to surrender to God daily.
In last weeks post, Renee and I shared our next steps regarding the writing practicum and Boutique as well as our financial needs. Yesterday was the payment deadline for the student fees and we were still short.
Renee and I have been preparing in prayer for whichever outcome would eventuate, asking God to give us peace and to clearly direct our paths. We believe that even though the doors have closed for us now in YWAM Kona, that his plans and purposes have not changed.
We’ll share more over the next few weeks, but for now we’ll return to Townsville in Australia, visit with family and friends and wait on God for further clarity.
We fly out tomorrow, so that means packing and cleaning and saying goodbye to the many friends we’ve made here in Hawaii.
As you’ve read on this blog, God has used every opportunity to grow and stretch and teach us many lessons in faithfulness and obedience. This is no exception.
Our hands remain open, with plans and dreams and desires that we hold loosely, because His ways are always the very best ways. Even (and especially) when we don’t see the full picture.
So stay tuned for updates and please cover us in prayer during our travels and transition.
